Woke up feeling happy today I washed my tears away With lemonade No eyes are glazed And my chin is sticky Are you ready For the day to begin? Woke up and there was no rain Today's looking better Than yesterday My head is cloudy And the birds are loud Today I feel like I'm gonna win I can't write a happy song Without the word happy My voice is crappy And I can't keep time But I'm still doing more, than you Tomorrow might be lacking But today is fine The trees are green And I don't feel sappy I could have kept up The grind if it wasn't for you It's the simple wins that count When overcoming losses Don't take advice from older People because some Of them are tossers Yeah you make me Feel like I can't lose God bless South Australia God bless South Australia God bless South Australia God bless South Australia God bless South Australia God bless South Australia God bless South Australia South Australia God Bless Ya

Ride 04:14
Too close for comfort Too close for comfort anyway I'll ride Off through the horizon This time I dehumanize it Why can't we just get along Sit and listen to the same of stories I been staring at the sun To try and help me quit gazing Won't change for another one Dip my head into the shoreline Why can't we just get along Too close for comfort anyway I'll ride Off through the horizon This time I dehumanise it
3.
Lottery 03:05
Advertising has become Mass behavior modification I let my board shorts Graze my kneecaps I let my choices stick To me like beeswax If you could be an animal What kind of animal would you be We are in a genetic lottery As the expression goes Don't walk on my shadow As the expression goes Don't walk on my shadow I wanna change Australia's Perception of dingoes Yeah you're endless Compulsive indulgent In my time we were Far more independent Let's all be the same Let's all be the same If you could be an animal What kind of animal would you be? We are in a genetic lottery As the expression goes Don't walk on my shadow

I went to the city To the city to dig a hole I buried my head under The sand and no one noticed at all How did ya get so Void of personality I put your cool can wall Out for recycling I feel like time is creeping up on me I feel like time is creeping up on me I feel like time is creeping up on me I feel like time is creeping up on me You got a big hat, no cattle I struggle to take hold I put my head over my feet But I still drop the ball When you feel a bit rattled Struggling to take hold Put your hands over your feet And your foot through the ball You got a big hat, no cattle I struggle to take hold I put my head over my feet But I still drop the ball You got a big hat no cattle Big hat no cattle at all Big hat no cattle I'm getting old And all my cattle are gone You got a big hat no cattle Big hat no cattle at all Big hat no cattle I'm getting old And all my cattle are gone
5.
Shamwow 03:07
Manifest only the good shit Stamp out the old ashes Laze about like a grain fed cow Soak it up like a shamwow I'll be on the road again For how long, I dunno it depends I'll be on the road again For how long, I dunno it depends One door closes another opens Cancel the event, give back the presents Let down by a highway town You don't have what I want around Go ahead broadcast your feelings In a seminar for safe dancing Let down by a highway town You don't have what I want around I'll be on the road again For how long, I dunno it depends I'll be on the road again For how long, I dunno it depends

about

Ep number 2. What a ride it has been. Less than a year after the post break up release of Greatest Hits, Volume 1 Pool Toy decided to go straight back into the studio. Volume 2 follows on fluently in ways that we have explored different sounds in an effort to find a niche. Our sound has become a little more direct and we now unashamedly admit that we were a surf band all along. Half a year later we are still proud of the fact that these songs are recorded and mixed in our spare room, by ourselves, for ourselves, our friends and anyone else who will give them a listen. Pool Toy still remains unsigned and self managed, but who knows what the future has in store for us. We thank everyone involved and all of the people who have helped us along the way, contributed to this project, and reminded us why we create and play these songs. We thank everyone who has shown us support by coming to our gigs and buying merch, we cannot keep making music without this support.
